after the danger of frost, dig the hole twice the size width and depth of the container and plant.Leave the foliage on as the bulbs feed from it. -

I did. It's a bulb. I put mine in an area that got early morning sun and shade in the afternoon. Bloomed for several years before Harvey, but that bed washed completely out. Good luck. -
