Everytime you eat a banana bury the peel under the ground around your roses - they love it.

The best roses are Knock Out Roses. They are easy to grow. I have had great success with them.

I agree with Pat above. To get awesome roses? Knock out. All you have to do is plant and water a bit if it's really dry. The bush below is one I got two years ago, at the end of the summer. I bought it on clearance and it was in such bad shape that the clerk and I joked about how kind I was to bring it home to die. I did not do anything special, I just planted it and treated it like any other Knock Our rosebush. Look at it now. The biggest maintenance hassle with Knock Outs? Pruning them back.

I love knock out roses. I honestly don't do much to them except trim them down in the fall. I will occasionally deadhead them but no other special treatment and they do just great!
