Good luck!
Hi Donna, depending on where you are located and what gardening zone you are in, I suspect it's too late to remedy mildew or fungus on your sunflowers and gourds. Next spring, you can use a fungicide on your plants right away to prevent fungus. There are many organic fungicides available on Amazon. Good luck!
There is a fungus spray or powder available at your local gardening store. If it is from the weather, it is really hard to manage the water, but if you are watering, then stop and only water when absolutely necessary being sure to only water your plants from the bottom, never on the leaves.
If they are in pots, put them out in the sun when it is sunny and if it is going to rain, put them under the eaves or some kind of cover so they don't get so much water. If they are planted, there isn't much you can do, other than don't water them. Covering them when it rains won't work because any where the rain hits, it will still travel to the area the plants are in. All you can do is hope it stays dry and sunny for a while.
