I am wanting to down size my front flower bed but have tulip and daffodil bulbs planted in it. I do not plan to do it till next spring as we are already having snow here. I live in the Niagara Peninsula in Ontario Canada

You can move them anytime the soil is thawed enough BUT I suggest you wait til after they bloom and then move them. If you move them earlier, you will not have any blooms til the following year. and it will be easier to know where each one is.

You can move the bulbs at about any time - the best time is after they've bloomed but still have their green leaves.

Tulip bulbs should be moved in the early fall. Feed them and water them through the summer then transplant them in fall of 2019 for best results and growth.

Earlr fall is the very best so guess what! Go do it right now they are usually sent to you in the fall to plant.
