How to get rid of St John's Wort for good?!

I know the feeling have dug it up twice and cannot get rid of it. Under a tree so cannot spray anything

I am thinking about putting Ground Clear on the soil and letting it sit a year, does anyone know if that will work?

  @Loni If you have that amount of time, I would simply cut the St. John's wort down, cover the entire area with cardboard, then cover the cardboard with a layer of mulch. Next spring you can till the whole area and you'll have a great garden bed.

I have not tried it, so I don't know that is the answer, but that is what I will do. Good luck
