Must take full sun AND be deer and rabbit repellent. The animals are eating my portalucas and everything else we plant even when we spay repellent.

How about roses? They are easy to keep in check.

Deer will eat the roses to if they are hungry .I put some peppermint oil around my plants using a mix of the oil and water or putting it on cotton balls . It may help you Some say red pepper does to .Just don't spray anything you do it to close to the plant .
We had to put chicken wire around our roses to keep the rabbits from eating them.... I have one friend who is a landscaper and they put in Alyssum and the ground squirrels and rabbits don't bother it.... it comes in several colors, takes full sun.
