What should I do with miniroses?
I transplanted 2 miniroses to my garden and it won't be long before it is going to be very cold. Should I cover them? Will they be ok if I leave them outside? Should I trim them back? I definitely DO NOT have a green thumb, so all help will be appreciated.

You could try covering them
Hi Susan. I'm Cindy. To get rose plants ready for winter, you should cut them back. By cutting them back in the Fall, you will see bigger plants next year. This process is called "pruning". I use the Old Farmer's method when pruning. It is: from Spring thru Fall, only prune during months that have an "R" in their name. For example, you can prune in ApRil, but not in May. May does not contain a R. I like this method because it's easy to remember. Good luck to you and your roses. Don't forget, you can come back to us with any garden questions.
I’m wintering mine in the house in a cool room with light, minimal watering and I hope they will be big enough to stay outside next year. Good luck with yours!💞
Yes to cover them, if you live in an area that has Temps' that dip below Freezing there roots are shallow an will get bit an you can repot them an store in warm area 'Garage or crawl space if you have one. Tr.
Put lots of straw around them, wrap some plastic around it & tie closed. If you have a big plastic pot you could put that over the straw & make sure it stays in place. Maybe a big rock on top.
Cut them back just a bit more than 1/2 the size, pick up a Styrofoam hutch to cover them with, it will protect them from the cold

Min roses do just fine outside. You don't need to cover them, although depending on how cold it gets a layer of mulch around the roots might help. Here is a great article on growing mini roses outside: https://www.proplants.com/guide/miniature-rose-care-guide
