When should I start my tomato seeds to get ready for planting season.

I live in mid Michigan. This is the first time I am trying this. I usually buy plants in June.

Rule of thumb six to eight weeks prior to your last expected frost date
Hi Pokey, You should start your seeds indoors, 6-8 weeks before last frost. March is usually a good time to start them!
