When should I trim my knockout rose bush?

I have a knockout rose bush that needs trimming? I’ve been told I need to trim after the last frost. When is the last frost expected for Athens TN?

Don't know about California but here in N.C., we trim all rose bushes in March along with the butterfly bush and monkey grass.
