When to plant Mums?

I have mums in pots for fall decor. When should they be planted in ground.?

If you are in a region that does not get heavy early frost then plant now. They should be hardy plants for your area. Once they are established they should come back year ar year.
Don't forget to mulch well. In some areas, they don't overwinter well.
If deer are a problem, you'll have to spray throughout the winter, or apply some type of fencing or netting.
