Carol S. on Apr 26, 2014It looks very much like a night blooming jasmine. If any of your neighbors have this plant in their yards, chances are it is. These plants are vigorous self-seeders and spread everywhere. If pods develop at the top of the plant, it's a jasmine. They will start to bloom in May and continue throughout the fall. Blooms appear at dusk and drop off by mid-afternoon the next day. The blooms are pretty, and attract bees and humming birds. But it is an invasive plant and hard to get rid of once it gets established.Helpful Reply

Nanaknox on Apr 27, 2014I think it is evening primrose which is amazing to watch when it is blooming. The blooms will open in just a very few minutes from a completely closed bloom to a fully opened yellow bloom. The next afternoon, deadhead all the spent blooms and it will continue to bloom for days. Northeast TennesseeHelpful Reply
