size of tomato is determined by type planted....for instance a cherry tomato will never give large tomatoes....beef steak tomatoes can weigh over a pound each. large pots are adequate for tomatoes of any variety. Plus large is a relative word...what is large by your standard may not be to me....but I get you

THE SIZE OF YOUR POT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THE SIZE OF YOUR TOMATOES. IT DEPENDS ON THE TYPE OF PLANT AND HOW MUCH SUN, WATER, AND FERTALIZER YOU USE.

  • Sure, depends upon the variety of tomato you plant too. With proper care, they should do great!

Remove any flowers that are to close together, and any suckers fro the bottom of the plants. Tomatoes are heavy feeders so apply a higher potassium fertilizer which will also produce larger tomatoes.

Yes, you can - the size of the pot shouldn't have much of an influence!
