Help, I need to save my boxwood bush

Question

I have 13 small boxwood bushes and 3 large ones. One of the larger is dying. I thought it may come back, but I'm not sure. I'm trying to be proactive and save it. The other two large ones were also looking bad, but not as bad, and I've nursed with water and some Miracle Gro tree and shrub fertilizer spikes close to all 3 large ones. I don't want to pull this one, I need it in my landscape, what can I do? I also have some type of ivy that was growing right next to it(see in the photo) and it's gotten really crazy, and started growing towards the bush. I was thinking maybe the ivy was hurting it, and wondering if I should trim it? Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you!

Whether or not a dry boxwood can be saved depends on the reason it is dry.

Water the boxwood just enough to keep the soil moist. ...
Add a 1-inch layer of mulch over the root zone of the shrub to help retain soil moisture. ...
Prune out any dead or diseased branches with shears, cutting back to just outside a set of leaves.

never feed a shrub that is in trouble.it looks like a possible insect or fungus attack.the ivy will eventually choke out the bush remove it.Treat the bush with a systemic insect and fungus control.

several things I experienced with my boxwood. Don't over trim.. only take off 1/3 per year. If you take off too much it can kill it. Thats what I did after a harsh winter and it spread out from heavy snow. Ivy is very invasive and can kill most scrubs if not controlled. Also huge trees if allowed to climb up the trunks.. it strangles them. Remember with the ivy every place it touches the ground it roots. Many shear the ivy 2-3 times a year to keep it under control
