Here you go! I have 3 in my yard. This way I do not have to worry about the birds, squirrels, raccoons and other wildlife nibbling on them. I still get enough figs and even enough to give away.

The best thing about fig trees is their care. They don't like to be bothered. I've had many figs over the years and the only thing I do is prune off the dead. No food, rain water and they always gave me great figs.
I just ok a picture of my fig because it has loads of figs! It's not my first fig tree. My first fig I had for 5 yrs without fruit. Why? Because it needed at least 39 days of dormacy below 30o and I did not get the memo. I just brought in my little fig, thinking that leaving it in my basement would keep it sheltered and I could just put it outside in the spring. However, it needs a month or 2 of very cold temps to fruit. NOT FREEZING TEMPS mind you but an unheated garage for winter is ok. I'm in CT. And you do still need to water it small amounts every couple of weeks. I'm getting morganite fertilizer to use. Keep in mind it's from the medeterrian so hot and dry.
