Are you expecting your dogs to eat them?? I have some suggestions, but I don't know if they're edible or not. You'll have to google that. I love house plants, but have a black thumb. I love my Peace Lillies - they love to be over-watered, and let you know when they're thirsty by dramatically drooping. Water them, and in one hour they're rejuvenated! They seem to be happy anywhere except by the heating vent. The next best is the Snake Plant. Let it dry out completely - a couple weeks even - then give them a good soak and drain. They're happy just about anywhere except the closet.Helpful Reply -

There are very few plants, indoors or outdoors that are really safe for animals to eat. You just need to keep an eye on them and teach them not to touch them. We have four dogs and a cat and not one of them have ever tried to eat a leaf. I even have five large pots of hibiscus in back room that they don't touch. There is a plant called ZZ plant that is almost impossible to kill, it even can be forgotten to water for weeks and will survive. I have seen them at Walmart last fall and my local Home Depot has a bunch right now that really look nice. I purchased one last week that my hubby wanted to try. If you have trouble with over watering, get a moisture meter at Menards, I found one there for about five bucks. Home Depot is a lot more expensive. Try getting a plant and see if your dogs leave them alone, if they do, continue to get what you want. I have a bunch of bamboo plants in a small container with some rocks in it and just fill it with water, give it indirect light and it has been healthy and growing for two years and has grown almost a foot.Helpful Reply -

Here are some links for you!https://savvygardening.com/pet-friendly-house-plants/http://www.bhg.com/gardening/houseplants/15-pet-friendly-houseplants-that-add-green-without-the-worry-281474979610304/https://www.aspca.org/pet-care/animal-poison-control/toxic-and-non-toxic-plantsWhen in doubt, just Google: "dog safe plants" or "dog safe houseplants." Or call your vet. I have a bunch of pets, 6 dogs, 6 cats, a canary and a dragon, all have been taught not to eat or destroy any plants. The cats and chihuahua mix will lay in the thyme, lavender or rosemary, but they won't eat it.Helpful Reply -
