What can I use to stop soil from flowing out of my garden bed in rain?

New garden bed needs something to stop soil from flowing out with rain. The area is in the line of play for the neighborhood kids so any hard surface (rocks, clay edging, etc) are not a preferred option. Softer option or plants that will minimize erosion?

You can lie down a soft lawn turf. Mondo grass can line the outside of your garden and prevent erosion at the same time.
liriope is also a good tough edging plant that grows quickly.
