So do you neuter and spay your pets, too? Good. You are asking can you de-sex, unseed, neuter your palm trees. IMHO, it's better to pick those orange balls while they are on the tree and throw them away. They remind me of big spore balls. Before they hit the ground, they are already trying to proliferate. Hi Naomi, I do believe that "those blasted orange things" you are referring to are the trees' seeds and fruit. I live "up north" and don't have THAT particular problem to contend with, but I know others do and sort of getting rid of the entire tree, itself, I can only suggest that you clean up the droppings and discard them, or hire someone to do it for you.
