Summer Shade Perennials?

My back garden is full shade by the time the leaves fill out in summer and I am looking for suggestions for perennial flowering plants that do not require a lot of attention. I have Tulips and daffodils for spring and I have a few hardy mums for fall but I would like some more colorful summer blooms. Thanks!!

Hosta is a wonderful plant that grows very well and requires no attention. You do need to have shade and a winter season.

Minature bleeding hearts (about 12") will bloom all summer. The large ones bloom in spring and are about 3 feet tall. Both of them are shade lovers.

Astilbe comes in various colours, tolerates low light conditions and marries well with hostas and ferns. Bleeding hearts will last quite long into the summer with low light and a fair amount of regular watering.
