Salvias do great in So. Jersey, and they're some of my favorite flowers!
Google Wayside Gardens. On the top of their page you hover over the word perennials and a drop down appears. In the drop down make a choice or choose all. I get most of my flowers from them. They have top quality items and are reasonably priced. I am in Northern NJ so I am Zone 6. How far down the shore are you? You may be 7 or 7a as your zone.
