When should I fertilize rhubarb - in the spring or fall, or both?

We fertilize ours in the spring, then again ten days later. That is all. -

The year after planting, it's a good idea to fertilize your rhubarb plants in early spring, before the plant begins to sprout significantly. Use an all purpose fertilizer - a 10-10-10 formula works well. Compost or well rotted manure also works well as a fertilizer. -

I fertilize mine year round, using grass clippings, coffee and tea bags and egg shells mashed together. This is a non burn fetilizer that is free. Just work into the soil and water freely. -
