Why did my blue hydrangeas turn pink the second year they bloomed

They only thing we changed in our yard is we cut down our cedar tree because it hadcedar rust. Could that have caused it?

It Is the soil. Sometimes I have pink and blue on same bush. Acid soil , if I remember right gives pink. PH balanced gives blue. You can change the soil. -

if I rember correctly the color a bloom depends on soil ph. Cedar is in the pine family, and can acidify soil. If the hydrangeas roots went deeper...... -

The cedar made the soil acid, you changed the ph. -
