What's the best flower/plant to grow in Texas?
I know that opinions vary, but what's your opinion?!I have great luck w Rosemary plants. Green all year long.
there is not enough soil in the pot.Take it out and check the root system and re-pot in a larger container.
Pull the whole plant up with the soil. Add soil to the bottom and top of the plant.
Plant in ground, will bloom non stop if properly cared for. The poor thing has no soil, is rootbound. When in doubt, Google or ask here.
Mine are in the ground but don't bloom either. I have hosta, monkey grass, caladiums and impatiens in the same bed and they do well.
Might be climate related, too. But certainly more soil and perhaps a little feeding once the roots are re-established.
I'm having the same problem...mine is in a pot, but I think there is plenty of soil...it comes back beautifully every year -- except for blooms...it is in a place where it gets part sun...might it need more?
I think what you call a calla lily is what we call an arum lily in South Africa. Here they grow wild on the side of the road but only if they have wet feet, full sun and rich soil. I find mine flower best when they get light shade in the heat of the day and lots of water. I keep them in pots that have no drainage holes and they do very well.
Thanks so much. I am going to move mine to full sun, repot it and keep it wet. I PE it will bloom one day🙂.
