Would crepe myrtle survive Chicago winter?

I don't know your growing zone there, but there are certain ones hardy to zone 5. You can google "crepe myrtle cold hardiness" and see what they have.Helpful Reply -

Sure! Just shop for a varity sold in your area. My girlfriend lives where it gets very cold and snows and they have 3 on their property. Visit a good nursery for info specific to your area.Helpful Reply -

Yep, as long as you get a variety that is made for cold weather. Crepe Myrtles do well in many parts of the country. Check your local garden center to see which variety is best for your area.Helpful Reply -
