Artificial Grass...
No grass holds up to dog urine. If you are re-seeding your lawn, you can consider changing your grass to a more urine resistant grass. Fescues and perennial ryegrasses tend to be hardier. But be aware that changing your grass alone will not fix the problems from dog urine on grass. Your dog’s urine will still damage urine resistant grass, but the grass will take longer to show the damage and will be better able to recover from the damage.

NONE!
I read the article that Landsharkinnc posted and my dog's diet complies completely with what is suggested. However her urine has burnt a lot of spots in our yard. And no one is going to run outside to pour water over the place where the dog urinates. There really isn't any good options. It's the price you pay for having dogs.
In my personal experience it is worse from unspayed females and purebred dogs.

Walking my SIX dogs on a leash around the yard is simply ridiculous - I maintain the grass and yard for them to run, jump and play! What is the point if they are unable to roam freely and be dogs??? Diet is not always the answer either. I agree with all previous responses.
Another option, if you have a large enough yard is to give them their own space.
There are quite a number of remedies out there, just Google and try till you find one that works for you, or do like the rest of us, do the best we can to reseed and water the areas frequently enough and make do with a less than perfect lawn. I love my animals more than the grass!
