What can I do about my Meyer lemon tree, the lemons taste awful?

I’ve had it for a few years and it seems every year they get worse, the taste that is.  Now I just pick them and throw them away. What a waste.....

could be a meyer lemon, they are sweeter than `normal` lemons, if so they can be harvested a bit earlier than when they are fully ripe and they will not be as sweet, if you take a photo of the fruit and of a leaf someone should be able to say wether its a meyer lemon or not as they have slightly different leaves and the fruit is usualy slightly more orange/darker yellow when fully ripe

What about the lemons taste so bad. Are they bitter, sour, sweeter? there are many uses for lemons that dont include eating. I would suggest taking a healthy small grouping of branch and a lemon to a nursery asking them. Maybe it’s a male needing a closer female to make it sweeter. Or visa versa. Good luck!!!
