What room are the tiles in?

That is a good question? In my basement and I have a fair amount damage due to adult son and friends. Any clever ideas to make/create ceiling tiles that would fit into the grids?
  • You can paint them with spray paint, latex paint that you could roll on. You could even stencil a design to go with the room. I would not go too dark and this would be an inexpensive way to update

Ask at your home improvement store what products they have to solve this problem. They have faux tin tiles you may like or some other easy to install product. : )

I'd use a quick drying paint or primer first (those tiles are very absorbent)...maybe chalk paint?

    I've seen them spray-painted.

I had the kind of ceiling they call a "hung ceiling" with tiles in my laundry room. I took paintable wallpaper and wallpapered each 2' x 4' tile and then painted them with semigloss to reflect the light. As you can see by the green painters tape, I am preparing to paint the wood moldings.
