Industrial Chest of Drawers.
I got quite excited when I bought this piece that I never noticed the water damage on top! It was slight, but nonetheless obvious.
It seemed to me more on the Asian inspired style, but I knew I wanted it to be more modern and hip.
What a lot of pulls, but I’ve been dying to use these card catalog pulls and I just had enough!
First I cleaned it down with Krud kutter, found at @Homedepot, then lightly sanded so that the paint would adhere.
I used a latex paint from Home Depot by Behr paint. For a chalk finish I added some baking soda. It will adhere a little better.
Once painted, I took a sand block and sanded the whole piece.
It’s a little disappointing at first, but trust me once dusted off, and wax is added, it’ll bring it right back.
I placed the new hardware where I wanted it and screwed it on.
We measured the wood for the top, then cut to fit. I found these tongue and groove wood planks At Home Depot.
Once cut, I stained it using varathane stain called American walnut.
It’s the perfect combination.
Once everything was attached, I used behr wax from Home Depot to seal. I printed out a typewriter font and cut to fit inside the hardware. Just type in typewriter font on google. Lots of choices will pop up.
It has three nice deep drawers.
I absolutely love how it looks now! As always, thank you for stopping by! You can see more on Instagram and Facebook by following Beachwood Place LLC
