How can I change my brass lock hardware to silver? Can I paint?

Locksmith?I want to change out my brass front/back door hardware for silver-toned. I don't want to have to use new keys however. I want to keep the same lock combination as it is the same for four doors. Solutions? Paint?

Remove the hardware and spray paint it with Rustoleum 2X for metal.Give light coats allowing to dry in-between.
JoAnnes makes a great silver colored spray paint that I used on faucets in the bathroom
If you get new hardware it will come with a new set of keys. So if you want to keep the same hardware and same keys, I would remove the entire handle section, it comes off with screws probably on the inside. Then clean it well, sand just a tad and spray paint with a Rustoleum paint. They have a paint and primer all in one with beautiful colors in the silver color scheme.
Thanks for the comments, I just wondered if spray paint would hold up. Will give it a try.
