We put in a new backsplash to sell our old house. We also wanted it inexpensive since we were moving. Lowe's or one of the other home improvement stores had metallic sheets that resembled metal tile and it came in 3 tones that looked like brass, brushed silver, or copper. It was simple to install and covered a lot of area. You can cut it with tin snips to fit what you need. Hope this helps

I put up one row peel and stick floor tile. You can do more of you wish. Cute with scissors. Too take off use heat gun to loosen blue before you pull it off.

Either some self- stick tiles or rereclaimed wood with lots of polyurethane to make it easy to clean. Latter is probably cheapest from trash bins at building sites or takeaway pallets. Could enhance with a row of smooth pieces of broken glass, seashells (flatter ones better, or polished foreign coins.
