How to very cheaply or not temporary cover a brick fireplace?




I live in a rental home.
how do I very cheaply or not temporary cover a old brick fireplace to look elegant, high-end look, trendy., update, contemporary, something that will go with furniture and decor for living room? Please help this have to be easily removable with no damage when my lease ends.

You could box in a mantel.
I don't know if it'll work since I've never done it, but maybe contact paper would stick without leaving any problems. If you plan on using the fireplace, I wouldn't use the contact paper because the glue might melt and leave a mess. But If you're not going to use it, give it a try with one roll and see if it stays put.
if you go to a an antique store or an old home consignment shop, they sell mantles taken from older homes. You could just place it the mantle directly in front as a temporary surround. It may not cover the whole thing, but worth a shot
