How to make a light into a Solar light?
I have an electric outside light that I would like to paint and make it solar instead of electric. How would I go about doing this? I want to put it out by the road where my house number pole is. Thank you for your help.

Hi Michelle,Here's a video that might help you. Paint the unit first then install the solar light. This man put his in a pot, but his doesn't have a bottom like yours. IF the post is hollow, you can put a 4x4 sunk 2' in the ground with 2' above. Pour quickcrete in the hole and level the post. Then you can place the light post over the wood and screw it securely. If you ever need to replace the unit, you merely unscrew it to access all the parts. -

You should be able to take the top off and replace it with the top of a solar light. Remove the top of a solar light from the post and use a heavy duty glue to secure it to the top of the post
