A few weeks now into the new school year, my kitchen started to become cluttered with all the paperwork my son was taking home from school. I decided I needed a way to keep the important paperwork in an area that I can easily remember where they are and keep organized. So with a great find of these vintage looking clips, i knew exactly what I would build with them.
Fortunately, I always have extra wood hanging around my garage from previous projects and of course some extra pallets. I decided to break down a pallet, since the wood would have that reclaimed look with that vintage feel I was going for.
I cut the wood to size and sanded down to make a smooth finish. I assembled by using liquid nails and let dry over night. I added some chicken wire to give some texture to the piece and it was a simple process of stapling this to the back. Lastly, I super glued the clips to the top of wood, since super glue is the easiest and quickest to use.
Now my go to paperwork is always hanging for when I need it and the clutter from the desk has lessoned since adding this piece here. The hubby wants me now to add some knobs to the bottom for keys...which would be a great to make this a good combo organizing station.
