Mine once had this happen, and my husband took it apart to fix it and then glued it together with Seal with Ease. I use unique bags; you can buy them on iherb, priced depending on the size. It's a plastic bag with a flap and an adhesive layer on the edges. These bags can withstand high pressure. They can also be used for frozen foods as well as for packing fresh foods.
