First thing, is it rental or do you own? If it is a rental run what you want to do with the owner/management company so you know you won't get in trouble. A picture of the storage room would help to know how we can offer suggestions of what you can do. There are racks you could search for to hang pots and pans from. We use the larger rubber coated cup type hooks and cut off part of it for easier on and off the wall. You have to kind of go by the weight of the pan and the size of the hole in the pan handle. Some don't have very big holes. For the baking pans, use a portion of a shelf and install a couple of something like strips of wood at ninety degree angles on the shelf and use them like book ends to hold up baking pans and cookie sheets on there side. Put up however many of the strips you need to hold all the things you want, you can put a number in for each one. You could do this also for the lids of your pots and pans on the same shelf.
Your best bet is probably a piece of peg board, you could paint it and decorate it any way you want, then get the hooks that go in there and hang all your pots and pans. You can have HD or Lowes cut the peg board to the size you want.
Hi, I am having a little problem understanding "storage room" do you mean an actual room for storage or just general space to be used for storage? Assuming it is the latter and that you have permission to maybe install shelves, etc nails, screws there are always many spaces that go unrecognized that can be used for storage. It really depends on the latitude you have from your landlord. But to make it easier, and assuming you are free to do things, pictures of your kitchen would be helpful. My baking pans I keep high in a cupboard. Baking sheets are on the floor of a food pantry. My frying pans are on a wall across from my stove
If you have an IKEA in your area... take a trip there and look at some of the freestanding kitchen storage closets.... or just clothes or storage closets that they have available... we have several (that we use for various purposes)... they are usually fairly inexpensive, and are designed to function in smaller spaces. You could also repurpose an old dresser as a movable island... and larger drawers hold pot and pans and even dishes quite well.
