I am a professional organizer. Here are some ideas. #1 purge, pull everything out of everywhere and put it in the middle of the kitchen floor. Have your boxes and bags ready. If you haven’t used it in a year get rid of it, donate it. Enjoy the tax writeoff. If you have more than one donate it. Except glasses and dishes in f course. If it is expired, open with out a clip on on it toss it. Allow one box for items you can’t seem to donate. it goes in storage. Now clean the cabinets and put the keepers back. My biggest problem in the kitchen was always pots and pans. In one home I removed an upper cabinet that was by itself on the wall and installed a large pot rack. I know that sounds drastic, but with the space I saved, I was able to rearrange other items and ended up with more storage in the end. Look for one that allows you to hang some items against the wall, and some on the front edge of the rack. A pot rack, hanging from the ceiling, over an island or peninsula works great too. Stock pots and colanders go on the shelf.
Go through all your pots and pans. Get rid of the ones you do not use. I was surprised at how many I had that I was not using. Donate them and take the write off. Clean them up so they look nice for display! I arrange by use, with the most commonly used pans to the front.
