Use large pickle jars (the kind that hold pickled eggs in bars) and thread the ribbon through cardboard fitted over the top. OR go to a cardboard box supply place and have them make up a special sized box where the ribbon can stnad on edge. Run a small dowel through the center of the roles and make slots in the flap of the box to allow the ribbon to peak through. Another way is to collect clear plastic containers and stack them with the ribbon put into each in coordinating colors
Iuse a paper towel holder. As a dog groomer I use a lot of ribbons..I have 4 of these dowel holders one on top of the other . Easy to see what I need and very organized
I used one of these over the door organizers (on the inside of the closet door) the "shelves: are adjustable... I have also used the curtain rod type of ribbon holders... have to take the outside rolls off to remove and replace the center ones... Pinterest.com has some really good ideas for ribbon storage
