For seldom-used shoes, I like to store them stacked up in a closet, either in the box they came in or in clear plastic shoe boxes available everywhere. For everyday shoes, a two-or three tier shoe rack at the bottom of a closet is what I find most convenient.

depending upon your space, an old vintage ladder with boards across to place shoes on. OR if you prefer wall space- Ikea has these inexpensive metal bars with metal hooks on them- install in closet and hook each shoe on to hang
