Hi Mariah, a sun sail might be a good choice.
Problem is ... there is already a roof over the porch ...
You can add blinds or curtains, something breezy.
Harbor freight has garage door sized roll-down screens for $25 and you can get 20% off any day of the week.
Staple it to the roof fascia board and put a painted 2x2, cover over it to keep the staples from ripping out.
Think Roman’ Shade got this part:
On the front of the 2x2 attach coated large cup hooks & knot cord on the cup hook. When you roll it up, then bring the cord around under the bottom of the roll & tie it off on the cup hook.
You might also want to consider purchasing a cantilever umbrella.
While not as wide as the screen in Cheryl's answer, they are adjustable in height and angle, and with a heavy base should stay anchored down in the wind.
Good idea! Thanks much and have a good day.
