What to do with my two brick planter boxes?

They’re in the front of our house. Approximately four feet wide. They won’t sustain ANY plants. What can I do so they’re not an eyesore?

Can you take the dirt out of the flower boxes and fit in a liner or pot and put the dirt in that? You would have to water frequently to keep the plants looking nice--a few times a week in the really hot weather.

You could always use artificial plants, you would be able to change them with the seasons. There are an awful lot of artificial plants that look very real now. Do the planter boxes have adequate drainage?

Nancy, that's exactly what I've decided to do. No, I think that's the crux of the problem, I added pebbles but it didn't seem to help.
      Thanks, bunches.

Artificial plants is a good idea. You can also try out succulents. They are really low maintenance and very hard to kill ;)
