Over the years, I've purchased a variety of fountains in my quest for cultivating a serene garden. It is usually easy enough to replace a worn pump, but what about a damaged or worn appearance? The fountain I am featuring today was originally purchased on clearance and the painted finish was later damaged in a hail storm.

I used spackling compound to repair a broken chunk of the faux concrete before repainting it gray and dry brushing the trim. Need spackling? Look here!

Although the fountain hangs in a partially covered area, I will note that I have found the wash to be quite durable. A year later, the paint and repair work have successfully weathered both a severe ice storm and a scorching Texas summer! You can visit my blog to see the video and hear how it sounds!
