Need ideas for the roof of a wishing well.

I bought a small wishing well at a craft fair that is made from the basin of an old washing machine. But the roof over it is uuugly. I want to replace it and need some ideas. The one on it now is screwed on and is a piece of a metal roof that is brownish red. I am going to paint the rest of the well in a metalic sparkly paint but not sure about the roof.

You can purchase cedar shingles at Home Depot and cover the existing roof. -

You can paint the roof any color you want. Scrape it, clean it, coat it with Rust-Oleum for a base. Then use any exterior paint and sealer. You don't have to paint in smooth strokes. You can swirl it, stripe it, Unicorn Spit it, or polka dot it. I can't wait to see more ideas. Best wishes 😇 -

I like the cedar shingle idea. Alternatively, you can apply a thin coat of plaster and insert small pebbles as an attractive finish.
