What is causing Holes in Oak Tree?

Question

Can someone tell me what is happening to my Oak Tree? The leaves have developed holes and the back of the leaf has white fuzz.

Hello Vida Knab, Although the back of the leaves do not look like powdery mildew to me, but it well could be the beginnings of it. Here is a link that will tell you what to do about powdery mildew.

the white stuff on the leaves is from the insects feeding off the leaves leaving a residue
