Spray the outside perimeter of your house with your choice of pesticide. I do mine monthly.

I use some Raid Ant and Roach Spray when necessary. I use paper towels to clean up the dead ants. Then I use an antibacterial cleaner before I use the sink and faucets again. Sometimes, I have to repeat every day for a week, or once a week for a couple of months. In the long term, I try to seal all the openings one ant pathways I can. But ants can enter the house through holes the size of their heads. With bigger ants, I add some sugar or syrup to cornmeal to kill the ants. Repetition usually wins.

Get TERRO pesticide free ant killer. It kills with Borax. Set it out where the ants travel and leave it alone. They take it to the nest which is soon eliminated. Homemade versions can be found on hometalk by searching for them. They work just as well. Sugar water Borax is what is in them.

How do we get stains off of hard wood floors that were made by a sick peeing dog?

  • Hi Ron - Those little buggers are relentless, aren't they?!? This is the most effective method and all-natural spray DIY that we use with ants. It's best indoors, but will also work outside with more frequent applications. It's even been featured on Hometalk! Hope this helps! Hugs, Holly
