Combine 6 ounces castor oil with 2 tablespoons dish soap in a gallon of water. Spray periodically especially after it rains.
Get a cat. We have and outside cat and since we have had him, we have not seen the first mole.
I keep all their raised trails walked down. When some come back, I know where they are active. Then I check back to find the ground moving, and stab them with a garden fork! Moles feed twice a day, morning and evening, so thats when they're most active.
In the non grassy areas, I've had good luck using mouse traps. Place them at the edge of the holes in the ground (you have to look for the holes, but moles do emerge from time to time). They are nearly blind so are easily trapped, no bait required. I've also caught a vole this way. If you have pets, you can cover the trap with a bucket and put a brick on top.
Once they were gone, we've used grub killer and have been mole free since.
You say you have dogs...... when you clean up their bowel movements place them in the mole holes . Do this for about 3 weeks and they will not come back and your grass will be greener.
You can buy humane mole traps. Just check at your local garden centers, hardware stores or buy on line. When you've captured them, put them in a bucket and drop them off somewhere in the country. That's the route I would take. 😄
Castor oil or a windmill or whirligigs - they hate vibrations
