honestly this is the best method as home remedies won't get rid of it for good. Dress well covered and cut the poison ivy plants down to the ground now spray that area with Roundup weed kill. You can try spraying without cutting but you want to get the spray closest to the roots as you can. That's the only way I found to successfully get rid of it so it does not grow back

There used to be a product called "Ivy Killer," but not anymore: its use was too limited. Read the labels of different yard care products until you find one that specifically states it kills ivy. Usually, if a product kills one type of ivy it will kill all types. Follow the directions on the bottle. It's AMAZING what you can do when you follow directions.

I just found posin ivy growing up my tree. I went to the nursery center and bought "Brush Killer" It killed it and I did not have to touch it. I put the sorayer on the roots. It died. I am using us for all the stubborn weeds that I cannot pull out. Works like a charm. Best stuff I have bought.

One of the above chemical solutions should do the trick, but you should also suit up and dig it out to help get rid of it long term. Good luck!!!

This is just the thing! I find this works wonderfully. You have to cut down the ivy and then brush this on the top of where you cut it. Bonide
