MOTH BALLS
I've heard laying down sulfur keeps them away...though it has to be reapplied from time to time. Lots of luck with this!
Moth balls is the best way. if you have a way to crush them (old food processer etc) they will work best as you can spread it easier, but whole mothballs around the edge of your yard will work.
Pigs, peacocks, and guinea fowl. If those aren't practical, try your county extension agent, or weed and pest office. The neighbors got powder from weed and pest that worked good. I just send my husband out with his .22.
St. Patrick or a mongoose.
If they are not poisonous let them be. They eat insects and will not hurt you. Or let your dachshund hunt and eat them.
They eat insects and other vermin like rats and mice! Unless you are overloaded with poisonous snakes learn to love them! :)
What sort of snakes are they? If rattlesnakes, kill each of them with a hoe or shovel, axe if you have one. Grass snakes, leave them or get a cat (play them to death).
Peppermint Oil. Snakes and rodents hate the smell. I soak cotton balls with the oil and toss them wherever I have a problem. Works wonders. Sold by the pint bottle at most Drug stores.
Please DO NOT USE MOTHBALLS! They are toxic to the environment, children, and pets. It would also be using it in a manner inconsistent with labeling, which is illegal.
i use to freak out and kill any snake. What I didn’t know the non poisonous snakes are actually our friend “ lol” helping us by killing insects and rats. Good luck
