Cayenne pepper sprinkled in & around plants & dried hot pepper pieces worked very well for me as well. Stopped my indoor/outdoor cats from using my flower pots. later I was able to stop using it. I'm a plant addict lol 😂
My neighbor planted cat nip to keep my cat out of their garden. It worked....and she loved it. :-)
I read this week about this very issue. They said to cut an onion in slices and lay in the spots she has been and she will not return.. According to the writer animals don't like the scent of onions. Worth trying. Hope this helps.
Cat's hate citrus. Dry lemon slices and sprinkle them around. Also, "plant" dollar tree forks broken in half with about 1/2" of the tines up out of the dirt, and they won't want to step there anymore.
Hi Sheila!
Perhaps she likes the feeling of security it gives her, she doesn't feel like she's just out in the big wide world and unprotected. Perhaps you can make her something like what's in this video link I'm posting. She'll have her "home and security" and will leave your plants alone. https://youtu.be/gPZVaD7nDfQ and if that doesn't work, sprinkle cayenne pepper around the outside dirt of the plants and she'll back off quick.
You are welcome.
You could add pinecones, too rough for kitty to lay on. Add enough so they can't be pushed aside.
