Put boiling water down the sinks, etc. They like to hang out in moist areas. Find out where they are coming from. They could be coming from plants, or they could be coming from produce on the counter, or even where you store produce like potatoes, onions, squash and the like.

It sounds like you have drain flies. They lay eggs under the rim of the sink or tub drain pipe. To get rid of them, before going to bed pour water down the pipe to get it wet, then shake Comet or Ajax cleanser down the pipe. The cleanser will cling to the sides of the pipe and kill the eggs there. You will probably have to continue this treatment for a week or a little longer since the mature flies will continue to try to lay eggs once the sink is in use and the cleanser is washed away during the day. Eventually though, it will work. Good luck!

Hello, I used to manage a bar and we had knats from the beer tap. I used hot shot bug strips and I still use them at home because sometimes I get them from fruit. Here is a link for them. They work great.
