How do you get rid of those little ants in your yard?

They just won't leave. I have tried a lot of commercial products and they still thrive. I can get rid of fire ants but not these tiny ones. HELP.

    Try using corn meal or food grade diatomaceous earth

    Have you tried a product called TERRO? You can get it at Home Depot or most home stores. It comes with little cardboard squares that you put a couple drops of this stuff on. The ants will soon be surrounding the drops sucking it up. They take it back to the nest and in short order you will have no ants. Remember, there will probably be many nests so you have keep up placing the bait wherever you see them. I also use it in my house when I have a sudden infestation. It really works!

    Plant marigolds, they don't like them and they won't go in an area surrounded by marigolds, this is what I did when I lived in the Mojave dessert, they were everywhere.

    Cornmeal sprinklings should keep them away! Good luck!
