Hello! Voles, moles, and gophers hate castor oil. It ruins the taste of what they like to eat best; that is, insects and grubs. Your local garden store typically sells castor oil pellets that you can spread in your yard. They are NOT harmful to pets or people. You can even set the pellets in a direction that you want the voles to go. They will head for another area to infest, one that has better tasting grub! Good luck!
